Benjamin F. Ward Scholarship

The Benjamin F. Ward Scholarship, established as a gift from Mr. Ward's estate, honors his life and commitment to education and community service. This scholarship provides $10,000 in total funding ($2,500 per year for up to 4 years) to high school seniors who are permanent residents of Durham, Orange, Wake, or Chatham County in North Carolina. Recipients are selected based on their financial need and demonstrated commitment to community service. The scholarship supports students planning to attend a 4-year public or private college or university in North Carolina. To continue receiving funding, students must maintain good academic standing and submit semester reports.
