Benjamin Weir - Eugene Waffle Journalism Award

The Benjamin Weir - Eugene Waffle Journalism Award is designed to support journalism majors who are pursuing a career in the journalism profession. The award recognizes students who have demonstrated significant involvement in Eastern Illinois University student publications and have maintained an above-average academic record. Recipients must be in their junior or senior year, having completed at least 80 credit hours by the end of the selection semester. The award is announced in the Spring semester and disbursed in the following Fall semester. Applicants must provide proof of their work on student publications and demonstrate their commitment to entering the journalism profession upon graduation.
