About this opportunity
The Bennett Jones Scholarship is an annual award for grade 12 students attending Louise Dean School in Calgary who are completing their high school diploma requirements. This scholarship supports students transitioning to post-secondary education by providing financial assistance to eligible students who demonstrate both academic success and financial need. The scholarship recognizes students who have achieved a minimum average of 70% and show leadership within their school or community.
Recipients must demonstrate positive active classroom participation, good attendance, and a caring attitude combined with demonstrated citizenship through positive interactions with the school community. The award values overall contribution to the school as a helpful and cooperative student. Recipients are selected in July and must claim the award within twenty-four months of notification by registering in an eligible program of post-secondary study in Canada of at least one year duration, or an eligible skilled trades or apprenticeship program.
The scholarship is funded by Bennett Jones LLP and is administered through EducationMatters. Only one scholarship is awarded annually, with payments made directly to the post-secondary institution where the recipient enrolls. Applicants should consult with their guidance office and are encouraged to discuss their application with the Scholarship Coordinator at their high school.
