About this opportunity
The Berkeley Undergraduate Scholarship is the University of California's most historic scholarship program which recognizes the academic merits of undergraduates. Each year over 3,000 students receive a Berkeley Undergraduate Scholarship, funded from one or more of nearly 900 university and private philanthropy funds. Students are awarded on the basis of both academic merit and financial need. There is no separate application process other than applying for financial aid by completing the FAFSA or California Dream Act Application. The scholarship amount is based on the student's level of financial need, and the initial Berkeley Undergraduate Scholarship award later converts to one or more named scholarship awards from the university's nearly 900 endowed funds.
