Berners Stiftelse

Berners Stiftelse is a grant program administered by Kjøbenhavns Guldsmedelaug (Copenhagen Goldsmith Guild) that provides financial support focused on housing conditions for deserving goldsmiths and silversmiths in need. The grant is available to masters or journeymen (svende) of both genders, whether single, married, or have been married, as well as deserving widows of goldsmith or silversmith masters or journeymen. The program specifically requires applicants to have a connection to the goldsmith trade, and applications from those without relation to the industry will not be considered. The foundation evaluates applications based on economic circumstances, including changes in economy, transition to pension, loss of life partner, or expected extraordinary expenses.
