About this opportunity
The Berquist Study Abroad Scholarship supports undergraduate students from any major in a bachelor's degree program who are going on an approved study abroad experience outside of the United States. The scholarship is awarded to students participating in international education programs with a minimum duration of 2 weeks. Preference is given to students who are first generation and/or have documented financial need, with a minimum cumulative GPA requirement of 3.0. Students must apply for approval for study abroad through the UWM Center for International Education (CIE) and be enrolled at the UW-Milwaukee campus. The scholarship was established by the late Dr. Goodwin Berquist to promote international educational experiences. Applications are typically accepted in November/December for Spring study abroad and in February for Summer and Fall study abroad programs.
