Better Futures Fund

The Better Futures Fund is a £5 million community funding program launched by Pennon Group, which includes Bristol Water, South West Water, SES Water, and Bournemouth Water. For Bristol Water customers, the fund provides £564,000 over five years for community funding. The fund includes £2.5 million for community groups involved with physical activity, education, health and wellbeing, and positive environmental impacts, with the remaining £2.5 million allocated towards alleviating hardship. The program aims to support projects and charities in the places where customers live and work, helping to build stronger communities and unlock opportunities for positive change. Applications are managed through ActionFunder, a grant management platform that streamlines the funding process and delivers money directly into community projects. The fund supports projects in four key areas: nature and the environment, education, community, and vulnerability, focusing on organizations that directly impact their communities.
