Betty Luka Memorial Award in Education

The Betty Luka Memorial Award in Education is awarded annually to a student majoring in Human Ecology or Human Sciences who is entering the fourth year in the Faculty of Education at the University of Alberta. Recipients must maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0. Selection is based on academic standing with preference given to students demonstrating financial need. This endowed award was established through donations from family, friends and colleagues of Betty Luka and through a bequest from her Estate. The award supports students pursuing education degrees with a focus on human ecology or human sciences, helping to honor Betty Luka's legacy in the field of education.
