About this opportunity
The Beverley M Burns Scholarship in Environmental and Conservation Sciences is awarded annually to a student with superior academic achievement entering fourth year in the BSc. in Environmental and Conservation Sciences program at the University of Alberta. The recipient will be selected on the basis of academic standing with preference given to students with involvement in environmental education and integrated natural resource management. This scholarship is restricted to students who completed Grade 12 at a high school in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, Yukon or the Northwest Territories. The award is made possible through endowed funds by family and friends of Mr Bev Burns, former Special Advisor - Northern and Aboriginal Affairs - Prairie and Northern Region - Environment Canada.
