About this opportunity

This grant program from the Swedish Research Council (Vetenskapsrådet) aims to enable Swedish universities and research organizations to develop and strengthen research areas by recruiting distinguished international researchers currently employed outside Europe. The grant covers costs associated with recruitment and salary expenses for employment in Sweden for a limited period of 12 months. The guest researcher is expected to contribute to the institution's research and help strengthen the existing research environment, with the ambition of establishing their research activities at the organization on a longer-term basis. The recruited researcher must have been established with research activities outside Europe for at least 2 years and have a career age of at least 5 years post-PhD. The organization is expected to cover additional recruitment costs beyond the granted amount, including long-term salary costs. The researcher must be employed by the Swedish institution during the entire visit.
