About This Opportunity

This grant supports interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral research environments focused on register-based research that can address complex questions and meet societal challenges through generating new knowledge. The funding is intended to enable research groups to develop environments where innovative knowledge and methods in register-based research can be expected. The research must be wholly or partially based on microdata from administrative or quality registers that can be linked to data from other sources such as researcher-generated data, biobank data, or survey data. The research environments should also effectively utilize and contribute to the development of register-based infrastructure. Supported research environments are expected to contribute to methodological development within register-based research, inspire and train young researchers in using register-based data, and work toward long-term competence development by recruiting both doctoral students and leading researchers from Sweden and abroad while actively collaborating with international research institutions.
