Big Brothers Big Sisters Society Of Calgary And Area Scholarship

This scholarship is offered by Big Brothers Big Sisters and various donors to support grade 12 students who have been involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters programs. The scholarship recognizes students completing high school diploma requirements with marks sufficient for post-secondary entrance. Applicants must submit an approximately 500-word essay describing their past or present involvement with Big Brothers Big Sisters and how it has impacted their life, along with their future plans and aspirations. Financial need statements are encouraged but optional. The award supports students continuing to post-secondary education programs or skilled trades/apprenticeship programs in Canada. Recipients are selected by September, and the award must be claimed within 12 months of notification by registering in an eligible program. Payments are made directly to the post-secondary institution.
