Bilateral Exchange of Academics (to Germany)

DAAD - Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst Original Source

About This Opportunity

The DAAD Bilateral Exchange of Academics programme supports research stays in Germany to improve international relations and bilateral research cooperations between German and foreign universities. This programme is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and provides financial support for university teachers and experienced academics to conduct research at state or state-recognised universities or non-university research institutes in Germany. The programme is based on cultural exchange programmes between the Federal Republic of Germany and partner countries as well as bilateral agreements with foreign partner organisations. The scholarships enable scientists and researchers to pursue collaborative research projects with German institutions for a period of 14 days to 3 months. Research stays should last at least 14 days (or at least 7 days for applicants from EU countries as well as Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, and Ukraine) up to a maximum of three months. The programme funds exchanges between scientists and researchers from Germany and partner countries, with care taken to ensure equal exchanges in both directions. Lecture tours or visits to congresses are not funded through this programme.
