Bill Paranchych Memorial Scholarship in Microbiology

The Bill Paranchych Memorial Scholarship in Microbiology is awarded to students with superior academic achievement enrolled in the fourth year of a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences at the University of Alberta. Selection is based on academic standing and demonstrated excellence in microbiology coursework. This memorial scholarship was established through endowed funds by family and friends in memory of Bill Paranchych, who was a Professor of Microbiology and former Chair of Microbiology. Recipients will not be in receipt of another major award at the time of receiving this scholarship.
