About this opportunity
The Bioengineering Master's Widening Participation Scholarship is designed to support UK-domiciled students from underrepresented backgrounds pursuing Master's degrees in bioengineering-related fields at Imperial College London. This scholarship aims to increase access to postgraduate education for students who received financial support during their undergraduate studies. The award provides a tuition fee top-up for cases where the UK Government-funded Master's Loan does not cover full tuition fees, plus a stipend at the UKRI rate. Three scholarships are available for the 2026/2027 academic year for students enrolling in eligible MSc or MRes programmes within the Department of Bioengineering. The scholarship supports students pursuing advanced studies in areas such as biomedical engineering, engineering for biomedicine, human and biological robotics, neurotechnology, cancer technology, and medical device design. This initiative reflects Imperial College London's commitment to widening participation and supporting talented students from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds to access world-class postgraduate education in bioengineering disciplines.
