Biological Sciences Undergraduate Fellowship Fund by Darryl L. Raszl, MD

This fellowship is offered to junior students majoring in Biological Sciences in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University at Buffalo. The award requires recipients to demonstrate high academic merit and have financial need. Dr. Darryl L. Raszl, who received his Bachelor's degree in Biology from UB and his M.D. from Vermont College of Medicine, established this fellowship after a successful medical career that included serving as Chairman of the Department of Medicine at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in San Francisco. He retired in 2005 and created this fellowship out of gratitude for the education and guidance he received from UB's Department of Biology. The fellowship provides financial support during the academic year to help juniors continue their studies in the biological sciences.
