Bishop Henry L. Barnwell Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship

The Bishop Henry L. Barnwell Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship is awarded by the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Committee through the Arizona Community Foundation. This need-based scholarship supports students attending accredited higher learning institutions who demonstrate financial need. Eligible applicants must show how they have promoted the principles of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. through their participation in school, community, and/or faith-based events within the last year. The scholarship is specifically for undergraduate students of African American or African Heritage background who maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA. The program aims to support students who embody Dr. King's values of service, community engagement, and social justice while pursuing their higher education goals.
