Black Excellence Medical Education Award

The Black Excellence Medical Education Award is offered by the University of Alberta's Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry. This award is presented to students who identify as Black and maintain satisfactory academic standing while enrolled in the third or fourth year of a Doctor of Medicine degree program. The selection criteria are based on academic standing and demonstrated financial need. This award supports Black medical students as they progress through advanced years of their medical education, recognizing academic achievement while addressing financial barriers to completing medical training.
