About this opportunity
The Blackstock Family Foundation Scholarship Fund provides scholarships for Georgia students seeking a degree or certification in three specific fields: (a) health care with an emphasis on serving individuals with special needs, (b) STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) related courses, and/or (c) special education. The scholarship is available to both graduating high school seniors and currently enrolled post-secondary education students who are residents of the State of Georgia, with preference given to students from Upson County, Georgia. Recipients must maintain a minimum 2.7 cumulative GPA and demonstrate financial need, academic performance and merit, community involvement, and extracurricular activities. A prior recipient of this scholarship is eligible to renew the award each subsequent year for up to four years, provided they maintain eligibility criteria and complete required follow-ups. At least one new award is granted per year, with the amount varying by recipient.
