About this opportunity

The BMO Capital Markets Equity Through Education Scholarship is designed for undergraduate and graduate students with disabilities who are interested in pursuing a career in Financial Services with a focus on Capital Markets. Launched in partnership with Lime Connect in 2011, this scholarship is part of BMO Capital Markets' broader Equity Through Education initiative, a charitable program aimed at creating a more diverse workplace by offering support to help people realize their educational ambitions. Selected recipients receive $10,000 USD for students studying in the United States or $5,000 USD for students studying in Canada to support their future studies. The scholarship is open to students pursuing degrees in business/commerce, computer science, engineering, math, physics, statistics, or related disciplines at four-year universities in the US or Canada. Applicants must have a visible or non-visible disability and be continuing as full-time students with a minimum 40% course load. The scholarship recognizes that 90% of disabilities on campus are invisible, and candidates with all types of disabilities are encouraged to apply. Previous scholarship recipients and applicants are welcome to reapply if they remain eligible. The Equity Through Education initiative has raised over C$26 million (US$24 million) to date, providing greater access to education for over 5,000 students. BMO Capital Markets is committed to an inclusive, equitable, and accessible workplace, gaining strength through diverse people and perspectives.
