BMO Financial Group Scholarships

Awarded to a Master's or PhD student in any graduate program at UPEI. Preference will be given to a student who demonstrates a commitment to service and social responsibility in their community while achieving a high academic standing. Since 1817, BMO Financial Group has supported the principles of community reinvestment and corporate and social responsibility to the communities it serves. BMO has more than 34,000 employees and with a strong sense of community BMO is investing in higher education at the University of Prince Edward Island through a gift of $250,000 to the Building a Legacy Campaign. To recognize the growth in research capacity created through the expansion to the Atlantic Veterinary College at UPEI, the first five years of scholarship awards were directed to students in Masters or PhD studies at AVC. In 2012, the BMO Financial Group Scholarship terms were reviewed and revised criteria was identified for the scholarship forward.
