About this opportunity
The Board of Governors' Scholarship was established in 1990 to financially support students enrolled at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music at the University of Sydney. This scholarship is available to both coursework and research students studying full-time at the Conservatorium. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic merit, personal statement, demonstrated evidence of disadvantage, and/or portfolio and performance. For postgraduate research applicants, the scholarship may also be awarded based on research achievements and potential. The scholarship value and duration are determined by the Dean of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and stipulated in the scholarship offer letter. For coursework students, payments are made in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester, while postgraduate research students receive payments as a fortnightly stipend. Recipients must maintain satisfactory academic performance and meet ongoing eligibility requirements throughout the tenure of the scholarship.
