Board of Governors Scholarship

Created in 1988 as a way for the Lakeland College Board of Governors to recognize academic achievers and student leaders at the college, the Board of Governors Scholarship is available to full-time Lakeland College students completing a minimum of one full academic year and returning into full-time studies in the following year. Up to 10 scholarships are available to students displaying academic excellence. At the discretion of the Awards Committee, up to 5 scholarships are available for leadership and excellence in student athletic and recreational activities, student government or other student organization involvement while maintaining a good academic standing. If suitable nominations are not received for leadership, the remaining scholarships will be awarded based on academic excellence.
