Boards & Beyond Scholarship

The Boards & Beyond Scholarship was developed in 2022 to assist future LMSA healthcare providers in preparing for their STEP 2 or 3. Boards & Beyond is a comprehensive online resource that makes complex concepts easy to understand, supplementing the student's curriculum. The scholarship offers a 1-year subscription to Boards & Beyond for medical students who are at least in their second year preparing for STEP 2 or residents preparing for STEP 3. Applicants must be committed to pursuing a career in medicine and dedicated to serving Latino and underserved communities. Strong consideration is placed upon financial need, and applicants should demonstrate a desire to advance healthcare and education in Latino communities through leadership in extracurricular activities and/or membership in civic organizations. Students are eligible regardless of immigration or citizenship status, as long as their university allows them to enroll. Applicants must be dues-paying LMSA-West members and must be residents or attending school within the LMSA-West region states (Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho).
