Boards & Beyond Scholarship

The Boards & Beyond Scholarship was developed in 2022 to assist future LMSA healthcare providers in preparing for their STEP 2 or 3. Boards & Beyond is a comprehensive online resource that makes complex concepts easy to understand, supplementing the student's curriculum. The scholarship offers a 1-year subscription to Boards & Beyond for students who are at least in their second year of medical school preparing for STEP 2 or residents preparing for STEP 3. Applicants must be committed to pursuing a career in medicine and dedicated to serving the Latino and underserved communities. They should demonstrate a desire to advance the state of healthcare and education in Latino and underserved communities through leadership in extracurricular activities and/or membership in civic organizations. Strong consideration is placed upon financial need. Students are eligible to receive the scholarship regardless of immigration or citizenship status, as long as their university allows enrollment. Recipients must be dues-paying LMSA-West members and be residents or attending school within the LMSA-West region states.
