About this opportunity
The Bob Christopher Memorial Scholarship honors Bob Christopher, the first person to plant a vineyard in Lake Chelan, who had a passion for wine making and the tourism industry. Bob served several terms on the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, including serving as President twice. This scholarship is intended for Chelan or Manson students wishing to pursue a career in viticulture, wine production, or hospitality marketing and communications. The scholarship supports graduating seniors or previous graduates of Manson or Chelan High School who are interested in pursuing careers in viticulture/wine production or communications/marketing in those industries. Applicants must exhibit academic excellence with a 3.5 GPA or above preferred and be active in community extra-curricular activities such as sports, clubs, school leadership, and/or volunteerism.
