About this opportunity
This is a residential environment grant program managed by Bydel Alna (Alna District) in Oslo, Norway, previously part of the Groruddalen initiative. The purpose of the grant is to contribute to attractive and inclusive residential environments that promote contact between people. The grant can be used for both physical and social initiatives such as playgrounds, upgrading meeting places in common areas, information and competence-raising measures, and social events. The grant can also be used for planting trees, for example in the form of establishing fruit orchards. Priority is given to initiatives that benefit many people and are accessible to those outside the immediate residential area. Applicants must cover 50% of the total cost themselves, though in special cases up to 70% funding may be considered. The program is aimed at housing cooperatives, condominium associations, neighborhood associations, resident boards for municipal properties (for social initiatives), and other actors working to develop good residential environments with non-commercial purposes. Individual persons and government entities cannot apply.
Decisions are made by the Alna working committee on August 28
