About this opportunity

This grant program aims to contribute to attractive and inclusive residential environments that promote contact between people in the Stovner district of Oslo. The funding can be used for both physical and social initiatives such as playgrounds, upgrading of common meeting places, information and competence-raising initiatives, and social events. The grant can also be used for planting trees, for example in the form of establishing fruit orchards. The program was previously part of the Groruddalen Initiative's residential environment grant, but from 2025 onwards, each district in Groruddalen manages its own residential environment grant schemes. Applicants must cover at least 50% of the total project cost themselves, though this can be reduced to 30% in cases of special need with accounting documentation. Projects must be developed together with those they are intended for and must provide something new to the residential environment. Physical initiatives can only be carried out on the applicant's own property unless there is a cooperation agreement with the property owner.
