Bomiljøtilskudd – Områdeløft Grønland og Tøyen

The Bomiljøtilskudd (Living Environment Grant) is a funding opportunity managed by Bydel Gamle Oslo to create attractive and inclusive residential environments that promote contact between people in the Grønland and Tøyen neighborhoods. The grant supports both physical and social initiatives such as playgrounds, upgrading of common meeting places, information and competence-building measures, and social events. It can also be used for tree planting, including establishing fruit gardens. Projects must contribute to a better living environment and provide something new to the community. Applicants must typically cover 50% of the total project cost themselves, though in cases of special need with accounting documentation, the grant can cover up to 70% of costs. Projects should be developed together with those they are intended for, and physical projects can only be implemented on applicants' own property unless there is a cooperation agreement with the property owner.
