About This Opportunity

The Bootten Bequest Bursaries provide financial assistance to students facing financial hardship or other circumstances that may hinder them from progressing in their studies. The funds were endowed to Massey University from the estate of the late Mrs C Bootten, for the purpose of providing financial assistance to enable students to complete the study for which they are enrolled. Mr and Mrs Bootten farmed for many years in Eltham, Taranaki. This bursary is specifically for New Zealand citizens or permanent residents who are studying full-time in their first undergraduate degree. Recipients are selected based on their financial need, academic merit, and character. The bursary provides up to $5,000 for one year's duration, with multiple awards available each year. Applicants must demonstrate financial hardship through a personal statement and budget, and provide a character reference. The bursary is designed to help students overcome financial barriers and complete their undergraduate studies at Massey University.
