Boren Undergraduate Scholarships - National Security Education Program (NSEP)

The Boren Undergraduate Scholarships provide funding to undergraduate students to pursue the study of languages and cultures deemed critical to U.S. national security. These awards are offered through the National Security Education Program (NSEP) and support study abroad experiences in regions outside of Western Europe, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. The program aims to develop American expertise in languages and cultures that are underrepresented in U.S. study abroad. Students must remain matriculated in their undergraduate programs for the duration of the scholarship and may not graduate until the scholarship is complete.
