About this opportunity
The Bourse Claude Chagnon is an encouragement scholarship offered to students at HEC Montréal who are involved in community activities, demonstrate financial need, and have an excellent academic record. Priority is given to involvement in community life outside of HEC Montréal. The scholarship is awarded through a competitive process that evaluates financial need (50%), degree of involvement (30%), and academic excellence (20%). Two scholarships of CAD $4,000 each are available during the Winter 2026 term. Applicants involved in a student association with a humanitarian focus may also be considered as having community involvement. A letter of recommendation from the community organization is required for external involvement, though not necessary for internal HEC involvement.
