About this opportunity
The BRPC (Undergraduate Research Award) program aims to stimulate student interest in research in the humanities and promote graduate studies. These awards help students financially acquire research experience in an academic environment and can become a considerable asset for those wishing to pursue graduate studies. The program is currently reserved for Black students and provides support for research internships supervised by HEC Montréal faculty members conducting research in areas supported by SSHRC (Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada). The research internship must be 14 to 16 consecutive weeks of full-time work during a single term (starting in January, May, or September). The program provides a minimum of $8,000 in funding, with $6,000 from SSHRC and a minimum of $2,000 from the research supervisor. The number of awards available depends on the quota allocated to HEC Montréal.
