About this opportunity
Established by the late Pierre-André Lavoie, this scholarship aims to support talented students of African or Haitian origin in the HEC Montréal student community whose financial situation and that of their parents prevent them from paying for their studies. Pierre-André Lavoie, a 1971 HEC Montréal graduate from a modest rural background, was the first in his family to obtain a university degree. He was not yet 20 when he left the School. Engaged and rigorous, Pierre-André valued work and work well done. Having found great satisfaction and pride in his career, he wanted to make it accessible to other motivated students. This encouragement scholarship rewards members of the student community who have financial needs and stand out for their efforts and perseverance.
