About this opportunity
The Canada Graduate Scholarships-Master's Program (CGS M) offered through the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) supports students pursuing research-oriented master's degrees in the social sciences and humanities. This scholarship is available to students planning to undertake a research-based master's program (with thesis or research mandate) who have a first-class average (3.7/4.3 or 3.55/4.0) for each of the last two years of study. The objective of the CGS M program is to contribute to the development of research skills and the training of highly qualified personnel by supporting individuals who have demonstrated high achievement in their undergraduate studies and at the beginning of their graduate studies. The award provides significant financial support to enable recipients to focus on their research projects in the humanities and social sciences.
