About this opportunity
The Canada Graduate Scholarship – Doctoral (CGS D) from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) provides $40,000 per year for a maximum of three years to individuals enrolled in a Ph.D. program. The scholarship is intended to support doctoral students who have completed no more than 36 months of full-time study in their doctoral program as of December 31 of the year they apply. This research scholarship helps students finance research projects and activities related to their field of study, including supervised projects, dissertations, and theses. The award recognizes academic excellence and research potential in the social sciences and humanities. Applicants must not have previously received a doctoral scholarship from SSHRC, NSERC, or CIHR.
