Bourses d'excellence pour étudiants étrangers (PBEEE - FRQ)

These excellence scholarships are designed for international students pre-selected by HEC Montréal who wish to pursue or continue graduate studies at the Master's level (with thesis), PhD level, or research activities in Quebec including short stays and postdoctoral internships. The program is administered by the Fonds de recherche du Québec (FRQ) in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education of Quebec. Students must be nominated by HEC Montréal and sponsored by an HEC Montréal professor. The eligibility period for Master's students corresponds to the first six sessions of study (must be enrolled for a maximum of 3 full-time sessions or one year before May 1, 2026), while PhD students are eligible for the first nine sessions. Applicants must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.7 and must not have initiated steps to obtain permanent residency in Canada. Co-tutelle programs are not eligible for this scholarship.
