About this opportunity

This three-year doctoral fellowship program aims to train engaged leaders who wish to develop their skills to transform their ideas into actions and contribute to addressing the most pressing problems in Canada and around the world. Each year, approximately fifteen doctoral students are selected across Canada and receive funding for their studies plus leadership training. The fellowship provides $50,000 per year plus an additional $20,000 supplement in the form of research and travel allowance, for a maximum of 3 years, totaling $70,000 annually. This fellowship is intended for doctoral students in their first or second year (beginning third year in September 2025 or later) of a full-time doctoral program. The research project must fall within the humanities and social sciences and address one of the four themes of the Trudeau Foundation: (1) Human rights and human dignity; (2) Responsible citizenship; (3) Canada and the world; (4) People and their natural environment.
