About This Opportunity

The Canada Graduate Scholarships-Doctoral (CGS D) program from NSERC provides scholarships of $40,000 per year for a maximum of three years to students enrolled in a Ph.D. program who have been in their doctoral studies for 36 months or less as of December 31 of the competition year. This research scholarship is designed to help doctoral students finance research projects and activities related to their field of study, including supervised research, dissertations, and theses. The program supports doctoral research in natural sciences and engineering fields, with a focus on finance, operations and logistics management, quantitative methods, and information technology. Candidates can be Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or international students enrolled full-time at the doctoral level. Canadian citizens may use this scholarship at either Canadian or foreign universities.
