Boys Nation/Girls Nation Scholarship

The Boys Nation/Girls Nation Scholarship is awarded to entering freshmen who are named as governor to their state or the state delegate of the American Legion Boys Nation/Girls Nation program. This one-year scholarship provides $2,000 to support students who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and civic engagement through participation in this prestigious program. Recipients must be first-time freshmen attending Mississippi State University with a minimum 9th-11th grade GPA of 3.0 or higher. The award amount is disbursed equally over two semesters during the student's first year at MSU. Students must submit both the General Scholarship Application and the Boys Nation/Girls Nation Scholarship Application in the scholarship portal, including verification documentation such as a scanned copy of their award certificate or a letter from their council leader confirming their status.
