About this opportunity
The Brad Edwards Scholarship Fund was created by the Joe and Pat Edwards Family in memory of their son, Brad, who attended Lamar County High School. He died in an automobile accident while a freshman at Oxford College of Emory University in 1990. The scholarship provides financial support to graduating seniors of Lamar County High School in Barnesville, Georgia who plan to attend a four-year college or university. Recipients are selected based on strong moral character, potential to succeed through extracurricular activities and community involvement, hard work, compassion, school loyalty, financial need, and academic achievement. The award provides $1,000 per year for up to 4 years to students pursuing a bachelor's degree at an accredited institution.
