About This Opportunity
The Bradley "Ace" Schaffner Scholarship Fund was created at The Pittsburgh Foundation in honor of Ace by his parents to provide scholarships for students living in Southwestern Pennsylvania who are pursuing a 4-year liberal arts degree. This scholarship is designed for good students who are often in the middle of their class – not at the top or bottom – and who have ambitions for a helping profession. The scholarship has an average award of $2,000 and is available to students with a minimum cumulative GPA between 2.0 and 3.5. Preference is given to students who have taken a non-traditional academic route, such as those who did not go straight to college, took time off and are returning, or attended community college first. Recipients may reapply in consecutive years.
