About This Opportunity

The Bradley de Glehn English Scholarship provides tuition fee reductions up to £9,600 for taught postgraduate degrees within the Department of English at Royal Holloway, University of London. Two scholarships are available annually for full-time or part-time postgraduate students with Home or International fee status. The scholarship was established by Mrs Ernest de Glehn in memory of her brother, AC Bradley, to support students pursuing advanced studies in English literature and creative writing. The tuition fee reduction is to the value of the Home status fee for the chosen course. Eligible programs include MA Creative Writing, MA English Literature, MA English Literature: Medieval Studies, and MA Victorian Literature, Art and Culture. Applicants must have achieved or be expected to achieve at least a 2:1 degree or equivalent. The application requires a supporting statement of no more than 400 words that addresses academic achievements, reasons for choosing the degree program, and future aspirations. Additionally, applicants must provide one academic reference of up to 200 words on official headed paper. The scholarship cannot be held alongside other Royal Holloway tuition fee scholarships or discounts. This scholarship supports students in advancing their studies in English literature and creative writing fields, helping them achieve their academic and career goals in these disciplines.
