About this opportunity
The Braly SOCO Any Athlete Scholarship is a one-time award of $5,000 created to honor the memory of Henry Braly, founder of The Braly Family Foundation. Henry Braly was a lineman at Longmont High School in the 1950s and continued to play football in college. This scholarship is specifically designed for senior student athletes attending Branson School, Las Animas School, or Kim High School in Colorado.
The scholarship award is restricted to tuition, fees, required books and supplies, room and board, and other direct educational expenses related to study at an accredited trade school, two-year or four-year college or university for the upcoming fall semester. Award amounts will be split between semesters.
Applicants must have a maximum unweighted GPA of 3.8 to apply. The application requires a high school transcript with fall grades, resume, short answer questions, a recommendation letter, and a short 2-3 minute video. One winner is selected annually, and the scholarship is funded by the Braly Family Foundation through the Longmont Community Foundation.
