About this opportunity
The Bredal Energy Fund Scholarship is awarded annually to students from the geographical area of the Drayton Valley Community Foundation who express a desire to enter into a career that supports the Oil and Gas Industry. Two scholarships of $1,500 each are awarded to students attending a qualified registered University, Secondary College, or Trade School. The scholarship aims to support students in their graduating year or one year following graduation who wish to pursue careers in the oil and gas sector.
Priority is given to students and their families that reside in the geographical area of the town of Drayton Valley and Brazeau County in Alberta, Canada. The scholarship is not based strictly upon academic marks but considers the nature of the career and the student's intentions for what they want to pursue in the oil and gas industry.
The scholarship is administered by the Drayton Valley Community Foundation and is paid directly to the applicant's school after the student is registered. Applications must be submitted by June 1st annually.
