Nordland fylkeskommune administers state broadband subsidies for 2025 to support broadband infrastructure development in areas where the market alone does not provide adequate coverage. The program aims to ensure all households and businesses get access to high-quality broadband services. Municipalities in Nordland can apply for funding to build broadband infrastructure in underserved areas. Projects receiving funding in 2025 must be completed by July 1, 2027. The program allocates 62,805,649 NOK to Nordland for 2025 (including 1.5 million for administration). Support is provided in accordance with state aid regulations (GBER) for broadband, limited to areas lacking 100 Mbit/s download speeds, with supported projects required to deliver stable download speeds of minimum 1 Gbit/s. The program requires 100% coverage within defined geographic areas and must establish real broadband offerings to all households and businesses in the project area.
