About this opportunity

This grant supports the development of agricultural industry in Northern Norway (Nordland, Troms, and Finnmark). The goal is to strengthen producer environments, counteract farm decline, increase land use, and raise competence in the agricultural sector and food value chain, as well as exploit regional advantages and opportunities within arctic agriculture. The program focuses on four work packages: (1) conversion from tie stalls to loose housing, (2) economy and profitability competence for farmers, (3) increased use of outfield grazing, and (4) increased total preparedness through increased food production. Projects must be aligned with Partnership for Agriculture Northern Norway priorities and contribute to sustainable food production and value creation in the north.
