About this opportunity

68° Nord-Bidraget wishes to contribute to local sustainable development by supporting projects and activities that promote environmental, social and economic values in local communities. The grant is open to businesses, organizations, associations and clubs. Funding can be provided for various projects that help achieve the applicant's defined sustainability goals, such as external courses, environmental lighthouse certification, acquisition or renewal of environmentally friendly equipment that contributes to achieving one or more sustainability goals. The total fund of NOK 1,000,000 is jointly provided by Sparebank 68° Nord and the 68° Nord savings bank foundations, with the foundations' portion exclusively going to projects run by associations and clubs. Each applicant can apply for support of up to NOK 30,000. The program aims to support initiatives that have a positive impact and increase competence in sustainability, and strengthen local commitment to sustainability at the 68th parallel.

Review process

Applications are evaluated by the sustainability group that administers the Sustainability Grant on behalf of Sparebank 68° Nord and the 68° Nord savings bank foundations. The group is led by Mona Kristine Rosvold, chairperson of Sparebankstiftelsen 68° Nord Harstad/Vesterålen, along with representatives from both the bank and the foundations.
