About this opportunity
The Brian Davey Memorial Soil Science Scholarship is a $6,000 undergraduate scholarship for honours level students at the University of Sydney. Established in 1989 in memory of Dr Brian G Davey, a senior lecturer in soil science in the former Faculty of Agriculture and Environment, this scholarship is awarded to the most proficient student undertaking an honours program in soil science or specialising in soil science. The scholarship is tenable for one year and paid in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester. Recipients must be enrolled in an honours degree within the School of Life & Environmental Sciences, specifically either the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Soil Science and Hydrology, or the Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Advanced Studies (Agriculture) with a major in Soil Science and Hydrology. The scholarship is awarded based on academic merit and a personal statement demonstrating interest in soil science research. To maintain the scholarship, recipients must maintain a minimum Semester Average Mark (SAM) of 65 each semester.
