About this opportunity
An award valued at $9,000, will be provided annually to a graduate student registered full-time in the master's or doctoral program in the Department of Biology in the Faculty of Science. Selection will be based on academic achievement (minimum 80% cumulative average) over the last two full-time academic years and interest in the biology and/or management of freshwater and/or diadromous fishes in Canada. The value of the awards will be determined by the income generated by the Fund each year. The goal is to provide at least one award valued at $9,000 annually to a Doctoral student, and at least one award valued at $7,000 to a Master's student annually. If a doctoral candidate cannot be identified, then two awards valued at $7,000 will be awarded to Master's students. The value and/or number of awards may change from year to year.
