About this opportunity
The Brian McGrath Bursary in Civil Engineering was established in 2017 with a philanthropic gift from the Estate of Brian McGrath. The bursary provides $1,000 to support a final-year engineering student's professional and/or personal development activities related to their thesis project. This includes support for field work expenses, conference attendance, and associated travel costs. Preference is given to students completing a thesis in coastal engineering, though the bursary is open to all civil engineering students. Recipients must be enrolled full-time in the final year of a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/Master of Engineering, or an engineering integrated or dual program, and must be enrolled in a thesis course at the time of application.
